Client attraction. Business growth. Pretty profits.
DIGITAL PARENTS CONFERENCE 2012: The Event, The Lifesaver & The Link Up
There’s 8 sleeps, 192 hours or 11,520 minutes (or close enough) until the 2012 Digital Parents Conference and I’m EXCITED!!! Now just before we get into any more detail about #DPCon12 I need to say this:
No mum and dad, there isn’t anything I need to tell you. You won’t be grandparents in the foreseeable future.
Thought it best I clear that up now…
Brenda, the organiser, has kindly allowed me to attend as an imposter (my words not hers).
THE DIGITAL PARENTS EVENT
The conference will cover everything from ‘Social Media For Social Good’ to ‘Blogging To Books’ as well as ‘Working With Brands’ and ‘Blog To Business.’ An amazing array of speakers will present including the likes of Darren Rowse, Problogger; Valerie Khoo, Sydney Writers Centre; and Jennifer James, founder of Mom Bloggers Club.
The thing I’m looking forward to most is catching up with old friends and making new connections. Kylie Ofiu, Dannie Wallace and Marissa Roberts, that means YOU!
Marissa and I connected on Twitter as brand new and almost brand new conference attendees. Now we are having tea together before #DPDrinks Thursday night.
We would love you to join us! Drop me tweet if you’re keen.
THE DIGITAL PARENTS LIFESAVER
Given I’m not a parent I don’t begin to imagine how challenging it must be balancing priorities. I am in awe of the love, strength, courage and wisdom you put to good use daily.
I would love to help you a little bit though if I can be so forward.
Every parent knows that if they attend a special event or go away for work without their children, the kids adore a surprise treat on your return.
Which brings me to the Digital Parent Lifesaver…
Designed for multipurpose use, the Digital Parent Lifesaver is a business card holder, blogger resource pack and kiddo gift in one.
I’ll be handing them out at #DPCon12 . If I haven’t got to you, track me down before they run out!
THE DIGITAL PARENTS LINK UP
Don’t forget the Digital Parents Link Up either.
After you’ve squeezed every magical moment out of #DPCon12 you’ll no doubt be sharing your new found knowledge and friendships on your blog.
So we don’t miss any lessons and memories a dedicated post will be set up here on Better Business, Better Life to catalogue your experiences.
Just tweet your link at @cayliebbbl and I’ll add your post to the list.
Make sure you check out fellow blogger insights as well.
11,463 MINUTES REMAINING
There’s even less time now until the 2012 Digital Parent’s Conference. I’d love to connect with you. Say g’day in the comments below or tweet me and we’ll organise some serious chatting ;o)
See you there!
Who’s counting lol 🙂
So looking forward to this and catching up with you and many others woot!!!
Thanks again for the mention x
See you next weekend (just rolls of the tongue)
Hi Dannie,
At least I didn’t work out the seconds ;o)
What are you up to on Thursday night before #DPDrinks? Would you like to join our group for dinner? The more the merrier I say!
Cheers, Caylie
Would love too! But i think i will get the evil eye look as the hubs and Miss 12 will be with me . So i am suppose to eat with them somewhere . Otherwise i say yes for sure lol
My Miss6 is beside herself. In her limited reading experience, she believes she is getting one of these for allowing her Mum to attend DPCon12. So…erm…I will be coming at you like a Spider Monkey at the night-before drinks. Promise not to spill my wine on you (ok that’s a lie…I’m severely lacking in co-ordination, so I can’t guarantee anything like that).
Seriously though, what a brilliant pack. You’ve really gone that extra mile. I will have my budget business cards and nothing more. Here’s hoping my sarcasm wins people over!
LOL How gorgeous! I’ll roll with the punches #DPDrinks night ;o) Gosh, I hope the Lifesaver lives up to expectations with Miss 6…
Thank you so much for reading and commenting. I’m entirely grateful. Would you like to join Marissa and I for dinner before the drinks?
Cheers, Caylie
Thank you so much. Sounds fabulous! I already have plans to catch up with family over there, but if I can move them to another day/time I am in!
What a great idea! This is very generous of you 🙂 I will make sure to seek you out…
G’day Dorothy,
Thanks for reading and your comment! I’d love to give you a ‘lifesaver’. How old are your children?
As mentioned a few times a group of us are getting together for dinner Thursday night before #DPDrinks. If you are arriving in time we would love for you to join us.
Cheers, Caylie
I’m so looking forward to meeting you IRL 🙂 What a great idea to hand those mini packs out with your business cards.
Thanks Kylie!
Definitely going to be amazing. Will be arriving in time for dinner on Thursday? Care you join a few of us?
Cheers, Caylie
I fly in just after the dinner, otherwise I would have loved to. I’ll have my 2 sisters with me, we are coming together for the whole weekend. Can’t wait.
These look fabulous! I’ve only just managed to get some business cards made up, that’s it! Look forward to meeting you next week Sarah
Hi Sarah,
Don’t stress about marketing materials – it’s the connections you’ll make that count most.
So looking forward to meeting you and having dinner!
Cheers, Caylie
Hi Caylie, we haven’t met yet I don’t think? I also believe you can win just about anyone over with chocolate (especially of the easter themed variety!). Great hook!
Hope to cross paths with you Thursday night at pre-conf drinks or on the day. I’ll be the one with the unassuming hastily-organised business card! 😉 (even though all the swag to be handed out to delegates passed my hands, alas, I can take NO credit for any of it! that was all the hard work of Brenda, Trae and the rest of the team)
Cheers, Kirrily
Hi Kirrily,
Thanks for reading and your sweet comment!
I just read your post and think it’s gorgeous. Sometimes these things just happen. Sounds like you have been incredibly busy.
Looking forward to meeting you!
Caylie
Loving the mini packs. What a fab idea!
So wishing I was flying in Thursday now. I fee like I’m missing all the action! LOL! Looking forward to making some new friends too on Friday.
x
Hi Kellie,
Thanks for reading and commenting.
I went to my first conference last year (Problogger) and didn’t go to the evening social activities. While I was driving four hours home totally jealous, so many other attendees were celebrating a brilliant event. Let me just say lesson learned ;o)
Definitely say hello on Friday! Are you staying Friday night?
Cheers,
Caylie
