Don’t Burn Your Books!

Takao Fire Walking Festival by Stan Chow

Starting a business can be like walking on fire. Hot coals burning your feet.

Sizzling.

Scorching.

You know you should walk slow and steady but you want to sprint away screaming!

Where should you put your foot next?

You know those moments in business when you’re thinking how the hell did I get here and what on earth do I do next?

How can you escape the BURN?

NEWSFLASH:

You’ll always have those moments in business.  They never go away. But owning a business offers rewards well worth the temporary torture.

NEWFLASH:

If you’re going to own a business you can temper the scalding by learning from people who have already been through the fiery hell and have achieved the success you aspired to.

Burns suck!! Let these business owners save you from pain.

  3. Excellent post. Excellent reading list. There are definitely some that I would like to read. My favorite blogging book is 31 Days To build a better blog.

    • Hi Retha,
      Thanks for your comment!
You know I own 31DBBB but I haven’t read it yet. Really must get on to it (if you saw my boxes of books you would know how hard it is to pick only a handful).
      Cheers, Caylie

  4. What a great list of reading you’ve shared. Thanks! I’m a book lover too so NO burning will be done here! I do a lot of social media and blog reading so I’d like to find time to read one of these this year. I’m at a conference right now and was given one by the keynote speaker that I’m excited to read. She is so good to listen too. Renegades Write the Rules by Amy Jo Martin. Thanks!

  5. Oh yay! This looks like an incredible list of books and I want to read every one of them! Thanks for sharing Caylie! (You know that book, $100 Start-up)? I think that’s a greta one too. I think you probably read it from the 72Hour sale. Loved that book.
