A Fast & Easy Way To Get Clients Offline
If you’re a digital-focused business it can be easy to ignore offline marketing strategies as a fast and easy way to clients.
You might think a service or product delivered digitally wouldn’t sell offline.
But that would be a big mistake.
Today I’m sharing a simple strategy to get clients offline that will work regardless of your industry.
Here’s the deal step-by-step in case you don’t have time to watch the recording:
1. Find your local business groups.
Paid is best because it means you know attendees are willing to invest in their business.
Not sure of your local groups? Search Google for “business + networking + [YOUR TOWN]”
2. Have your elevator pitch ready.
A simple structure is ‘I help [WHO] with [WHAT] so they can [RESULT].’
3. Get examples of recent, relevant client results.
Have these ready for when the person you’re speaking with asks how you do it.
Ex. “One of my FB Live students Diana of Restore Beauty & Wellness recently went live about the benefits of massage and booked six clients the same afternoon.
In FB Live to Thrive I teach my students such as Diana how to maximise their audience and how to structure their lives to generate sales. I also cover the tech and topics to focus on.”
If they don’t ask, they are not an ideal client. Politely excuse yourself and start the process again from step 2.
4. The card request.
When the listener asks for your card, in addition to handing your card over, ask for their card.
Two reasons I do this:
a. It’s a small form of flattery.
b. It puts me in the driver’s seat as I now have their contact details and am able to follow up.
5. Tell them when you’ll touch base and follow through on your promise.
Aim for a timeframe of less than 48hrs.
If you follow up as promised, you build trust and they are more likely to buy from you. Fail to follow through and you’ve just damaged your new relationship.

thanks for sharing. as a foreign student, I also find a way to earn some pocket money online!
I like your reciprocal card request idea. Another one to do is make sure your business card is printed on both sides: one side with the logo, your name and contact info, and the reverse side listing off the key services your company can provide so they’ll remember what it is you do.
