Client attraction. Business growth. Pretty profits.
Marissa Roberts’ Top 3 Organising Tips
I’ve mentioned it already but it’s worthy of repeating, the best thing of all the Digital Parents Conference 2012 highlights was the people I met and connected with. Marissa Roberts of Beautifully Organised is one of those amazing people.
Marissa was the first to respond when I tweeted asking who would be interested in having dinner together the evening before the conference. She sounded super friendly, a very bubbly personality on Twitter. It took maybe five minutes after meeting in real life to know she was a genuinely gorgeous person. We have already become great friends and I’m sure that will be the case for a long, long time.
Knowing that we all love great organisational strategies I asked Marissa if she was willing to share some of her expertise in a video interview. She generously agreed and so here it is:
What did you think? Do you use any of these ideas already? What a relief that we don’t have to stress ourselves trying to be perfect!
If you would like to hear more of Marissa’s handy hints head to Beautifully Organised.
Also, here’s the link up for the Digital Parents Conference and keep an eye out for my guest post on Beautifully Organised. It will be there shortly.
Tell me. Did you like the video post? Was it a good change up from text or should I stick to the ‘written word’ before my head wobbles off with all that nodding?
Thanks Caylie! I had so much fun at DPCon12 with you, so glad we met! Looking forward to more work and fun together 🙂
I want to see more videos too – you’re great in camera!
*ON camera – sorry, iPhone typo 😉
Wonderful and a relief thanks so much for the insights!
I am on the UBC too and this is helpful to remember for my own business GX

Hi Grace!
Welcome to my blog and thank you for reading!
When Marissa uttered the words that it wasn’t about being perfect I think mums and dads all over the world fell in love with her ;o)
Best wishes with UBC! I’m looking forward to checking out your blog!
Cheers, Caylie
Thanks Grace!
Thanks for the great advice you two! It’s also wonderful to see you on video for the first time, Caylie…now I feel like I’ve met you officially! 🙂 I’ll go check out Marissa’s blog now…
Hey Kimberly,
Great to have you here again! Isn’t weird how video feels “real life.” Now we just need to talk on Skype as planned ;o)
I can’t wait to check out your video post too! By the way, you’ll love Marissa! Such a beautiful person!
Cheers, Caylie
I know Caylie, I really does make the connection feel more real! That’s the biggest reason I am going to put myself out there and try it. I’m naturally very shy, so it’s kind of a big thing for me. Marissa seems wonderful! I wish you all weren’t on the other side of the world so that we could hang out 🙂
Kim, you’ve inspired a new post. Thank you!
Thanks Kimberly, what a lovely thing to say 🙂
