12 Days of Christmas – I Want to Share the Love

If you are a crafty blogger or anyone wanting to learn about blogging really you should consider reading Tara Gentile’s blog, Scoutie Girl. Scoutie Girl is a down to earth and definitely motivating voice keeps me going back to read more.

So this morning, as is my usual routine, I started exploring the latest blog posts of my favourite bloggers and Laura Simms’ guest post on Scoutie Girl “holiday freebies + the want to place” really caught my attention.

The post focuses on the difference between creating Christmas freebies from the perspectives of “because I should” and “what’s in it for me” versus “what do I want to give?”

As you know there has been the usual explosion of Christmas posts suddenly appearing this month and new freebies bloggers are giving away. Some are genuinely fantastic while others come from the “I have to get something out quick” movement.

The “want to give” perspective sat me back in my box for a bit and I really made me think how I could give my readers something of value. Yes, I had been feeling the “should do” something urge and that’s not good enough.

So influenced by Scoutie Girl’s insight I’m offering this gift to you.

I want to share the love.

In the spirit of giving and the 12 Days Of Christmas I will be giving away twelve, that’s right twelve, online blogging reviews.

One for each of the 12 Days of Christmas with the first review posted December 25th.

So what does this mean?

Better Business, Better Life will review the online presence of twelve businesses, one for each of the twelve days of Christmas.

Each business will receive general feedback plus five recommendations.

A post will be published for each review, meaning a lot more of my favourite people in the world, my readers, can also learn.

  1. I agree to the online presence review of my business being published on Better Business, Better Life if chosen.

Thanks for offering this opportunity! My biggest challenge right now is finding focus. I’m currently transitioning from offering too many different services to centering around helping businesses build their identity. I have a lot of work to do on my whole site. but was thinking a review of my blog would be a great step toward knowing where to go in the future. Thanks!

    • Hi Kimberly,
Thank you for entering and good luck! It is so easy to be spead too thin. Well done for recognising and being willing to work on it. Always great to seek independent feedback as well as we get sooooo close to our online “babies.” Cheers, Caylie

  2. For some reason I was drawn to read this. LOL
I’m up for a review if I’m drawn out. Only trouble is there are so many challenges i dont know where to start. A new niche, website, content etc etc will hopefully make some difference.
    BTW Must go explore too.

    • Thanks for the comments ladies. Don’t forget to tweet the post Chris and Rose to complete your entry. What is your current, biggest challenge online Rose?

    • You sure can. Just tell me the two businesses, two online marketing challenges you have and tweet twice. Easy.
Don’t forget to agree to “I agree to the online presence review of my business being published on Better Business, Better Life if chosen” as well.

  3. I have to admit Adam is handling it all really well, I will have to ask him, But I guess it’s pulling all the social media activity together, connecting with potential customers and converting it to sales?

  4. “I agree to the online presence review of my business being published on Better Business, Better Life if chosen”

My biggest challenge is having more interaction with my fans on line. I want to get them busy and involved on my page…

I dont do tweeter lol I know shocked much !!!

  5. I did but at that stage, my YIAH page was going OFF and I needed to maintain my attention on it to keep up. Plus being a mum to 3 boys, and a shift working hubby, it was something had to give, so I concentrated on my facebook page, and not on twitter as I was yet to understand it 🙂

    • Great point. Prioritising and consistency is so important. If you can’t be there for your audience and respond in a timely manner, don’t be there in the first place.

  6. I agree to the online presence review of my business Robins Ag Service, being published on Better Business, Better Life if chosen”

    • Awesome to have you here Wendy!
What is your biggest online marketing challenge currently?
What are Robins Ag’s goals for 2012? (Another trip to China?)
      Cheers, Caylie

  7. Great idea!

Don’t forget to tweet too. Some of your blog readers might like to enter as well.
      Cheers, Caylie
